Yesterday evening (03 June 2016), a group of vendors from Tagum City arrived in Davao City to attend the Thanksgiving event for incoming President Rodrigo Duterte and choose to sleep outdoors than traveling the next day as they are expecting many attendees on the said event.

The vendors will sleep in an open field of Davao Crocodie Park until the park will open to the public today (04 June 2016).

Bebeng Inio is one of the attendee of the said event together with her husbands and neighbors.

Bebeng Inio, who came here with her husband and neighbors, said they will be sleeping in the open field of the Davao Crocodile Park until it opens its gates to the public on Saturday.

“Manuod kami dyan kay President Duterte,” Inio told INQUIRER.net, before adding that they also plan to sell food like fish crackers to be able to bring home money.

As per Inio, she has been a vendor of junk foods for about 15 years.

Inio is hoping that Duterte will be able to solve the problem in illegal drugs.

“Sana lahat ng mga problema sa aming lugar, sa national (masolusyunan). Lahat lahat po.” Inio said.

She said each of them had to spend P60 for the bus ride from Tagum to Davao City. In addition to seeing the president-elect, they expect to earn P1,000 each at the most, if they will be allowed to sell their goods at the concert.

The thanksgiving event will start at 01:00PM today (04 June 2016) and will end at 01:00AM the next day (05 June 2016) with the presence of Vice Ganda, Ahron Villaflor, Carlos Agassi, Gary Vergara, Andrew E., Paolo Snatos, Lord Dulat, Kimmy Bondoc, Bernardo Bernardo, and Beverly Salvero. Hosting the event are Kat De Santos, Bayani Agbayani and Arnel Ignacio and our beloved upcoming President is expected to give his speech in the evening.
